    Call for inital screening. Caller's information will be given to the crisis committee. Someone from the committee will call back, interview the applicant over the phone and make an eligibility determination. Agency does not give cash; the recipient's bill is paid by the agency to the vendor.

Families living within Shoreline School District boundaries who have young children that are not yet attending school can register by calling Hopelink-Shoreline during office hours. Families who register will be given an assigned time to arrive at the event, and MUST bring their registration letter with them to participate.

    Low-income families who reside in ZIP codes 98106, 98108 (west of the Duwamish), 98116, 98126, 98136, 98146, 98148, 98158, 98166, 98168, 98188 and 98198 (north of 216th)*. Toys are provided for children ages birth through 14; only one household may apply for each child. Families should register ALL children and adults in the household in order to receive a food voucher based on total family size. *North of 216th Street will generally incorporate address numbers beginning lower than 216, as street numbers increase in numerical value going southward in South King County. Landmarks include the large Safeway (just North of 216th St) and Bartells (just south of 216th St).     Sign up in person during office hours. Clients should enter through the glass doors marked 'Main Office' facing 16th Ave on the south part of the building. Documents Required: - Photo ID for all adults ages 18 and older in the home or any other documentation that shows household composition(lease, etc). - ID (birth certificates/something showing age of child) for all children in household - Verification of family home address - Verification of family income There will not be any late sign-ups unless the family has had a verifiable hospitalization or has proof they were in a home fire, which may come in the form of an American Red Cross referral.

    Must be low-income, under 50% Area Median Income; based on client's household income within the last 30 days. Veterans, service members and their legal dependents living in King County. Veteran must be living in the household unless on active duty or deceased. Veterans must have served on active duty with an honorable or general discharge, other than honorable or uncharacterized. National Guard and Reservist must have completed a six or eight year obligation with an honorable or general discharge, other than honorable or uncharacterized.

    New clients and clients who have not been seen for at least six months must visit in person for intake. Those living in South King County should call the Renton office. The hardship must be due to one of the following: - Deployment - Military pay issue - Military illness or injury - Natural disaster The hardship cannot be caused by: - Civil, legal or domestic issues, misconduct, or any issues that are a result of spousal separation or divorce - Financial mismanagement by self or others, or due to Bankruptcy

    Household incomes must be at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level. Cancer patients who are within a three-month window of active cancer treatment specifically surgery, chemotherapy or radiation. Receive treatment in Western WA, in one of the following counties: Clallam, Grays Harbor, Island, Jefferson, King, Kitsap, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, Pierce, San Juan, Skagit, Snohomish, Thurston, Wahkiakum, and Whatcom. Active treatment can include taking ongoing cancer suppression drugs and hormone therapy. Funds are one time only.
  • How to Apply
    Work with oncology social worker or healthcare worker to fill out the application form. May take up to two to three months, so program is not able to assist with immediate shut-off or eviction notices. Fund is limited and applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis according to availability of funds.
